During the month of March, some of our youngest scholars were introduced to how important it is for our birds to have a beautiful and functional environment. Here we see our kindergarteners are decorating their birdhouses made out of school milk cartons.

BACK TO SCHOOL BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT: [August 22, 2014 - August 23, 2014]
FSEMS Scholars conducted a back to school beautification project through "The Green, Healthy Smart Challenge" and "Baltimore Energy Challenge Grant 2013-2014", which our school was awarded. The scholars engaged in trash and litter removal from the front and side lots of the school. They designed and created a beautiful flower bed which consisted of lavender, mums, lantana, ferns, hibiscus and sage. They also provided maintenance by cleaning and refurbishing the flower beds which is located in the front lot of the school with fig trees, ferns, hostas, lavender, hibiscus and sage.
