SCHOOL-WIDE BEHAVIOR CHANGES: [November 2014]
We decided as a school to enter the BGE PowerDown Challenge. Our school is currently in third place, which is a great feat considering our school is open from 5:00AM with our custodial staff to 7:00PM each night with our after school program. Our school is an older school and we are not able to update electrical systems as readily as some of the newer schools that have the latest technology in energy reduction. Our being in third place is due to our diligence in turning off lights when not in use, using less lights when in class, turning off unused computers, lcd projectors and smartboards; we believe these behavioral changes has made the difference in the ability for us to be in our current placement.

RECYCLING: [September 2014]
Our school has adopted the Recycling Ambassadors Program. We have scholars that are designated in each classroom to ensure that paper and plastic are what goes in the recycle bins, that each class has been given. Our recycling day is every Wednesday and the Ambassadors come around and collect the recycled goods for pick up from the Baltimore Sanitation Department on Thursday.

BULLETIN BOARD: [October 2014]
Our school has put up a bulletin board to alert our greater community of our Weekly Green Team tips, issues and events. It is for the greater FSEMS #095 community, which includes scholars, administration, staff, teachers and parents.
